Series Launch: Best Of Patch, And We Need You

Each week, readers will have a chance to vote for their favorite businesses and service providers in a number of fun categories. Click the "Keep me posted" button to stay in the loop about the series.

Monday, Martinez Patch will kick off its first Best of Patch contest. (Click the "Keep me posted" button below this piece to stay in the loop about the series.)

Each week, you'll have a chance to vote for your favorite businesses and service providers in a number of categories.

Every week we'll post a poll asking you to vote on your favorite one. Readers can add a comment and review the business on its Martinez Patch Places page. Polls will close at 9 a.m. Friday.

Then, on Friday, check back for the results. Winning businesses will get a nifty Best of Patch certificate.

(Because our poll is not scientific, it is not the sole consideration in choosing a winner. The winner will be determined by the Patch editor, based on poll results, comments and reviews on Patch Places. Please vote only once per survey, per Patch.)

Here are the upcoming poll topics:

Best Sandwich Spot
Best Preschool
Best Place to Celebrate St. Patrick's Day
Best Kids Martial Arts Lessons
Best Burrito

If you want to suggest a business for the contest, post it in the comments below and don't forget to vote each week.
