A second quake in one day hit Martinez at about 8:14 Thursday night. The second quake, at a magnitude of 3.9, felt stronger than the 3.9 quake earlier in the afternoon.
Like the first quake, the second was centered in Berkeley.
There were no reported injuries or damage so far.
