King of the County BBQ Contest and Music Festival A Big Hit

Here are the winners for the BBQ contest (even though the real winners were the judges).

This year's King of the County BBQ Contest and Music Festival drew more than 20,000 people to Waterfront Park to taste succulent meat and sauce, hear some great entertainment, ride the rides and do a little shopping.

But the event also attracts the creme de la creme of outdoor grill meisters, who bring their BBQs, their charcoal and their recipes, and mix it up with other chefs. Though the public is not allowed to sample this particular fare, the judges always walk away very happy.

Paint the railroad trestle that crosses Alhambra. It's an eyesore.
