Community Still Searching for Ryan Menjiver

Posters are up in Martinez and Pleasant Hill thanks to a community-wide effort.

Though he is still missing, nearly 150 friends, family and community members are determined to locate Ryan Menjiver, an 18-year-old Alhambra High student who has been missing the past two days.

Over 2,500 flyers were distributed throughout Martinez and Pleasant Hill featuring the young man's photo. In addition, Martinez police continue their search for him.

"At this time there is no new news about Ryan's whereabouts," said Nermin Fraser, Alhambra High Principal. "Martinez police continues to follow up on leads, and we are hopeful that Ryan will be home with his family soon."

Nearly 150 parents, students, school staff and other volunteers assisted Wednesday afternoon with the search for the missing student. Another search will take place tomorrow at 2:15 p.m. Volunteers will meet in the Alhambra High quad.

"At this time there is no new news about Ryan's whereabouts," Fraser said. "Martinez police continue to follow up on leads, and we are hopeful that Ryan will be home with his family soon."

If anyone has information about Menjiver, please call the Martinez police at (925) 372-3440.
