Baseball Parade Saturday Morning
Parts of Main Street, Alhambra Avenue, closed until noon.
The Martinez Baseball Parade will march down Alhambra Avenue and Main Street Saturday morning, with more than 1,200 coaches, athletes and managers are expected to strut their stuff from City Hall to the corner of Main Street and Estudillo Street. Master of Ceremonies Harriett Burt will announce each team as they walk by. The Baseball Association, Softball Association and Martinez Baseball Club will all be represented Saturday.
Alhambra Avenue from Jones Street to Main Street will be closed from 10 a.m. to about 10:20 a.m. as the parade makes its way to Main Street. From there, Main Street from Alhambra Avenue to Ferry Street will be closed until shortly after noon. Parking on Main from Alhambra to Ferry will also be prohibited through noon Saturday.
