Around the Blogosphere: Martinez Getting Lots of "Ink"

Beavers and bail bonds capture the attention of the world.

It’s been a busy time for Martinez around the blogosphere. Our city has been mentioned recently in at least two spaces.

Heidi Perryman, who runs the Worth A Dam blog devoted to all things beaver, featured a couple of items recently. One is the fact that artist Mario Alfaro has included a beaver kit in the Main Street Plaza mural he’s creating:

The other is that musician Mark Comstock wrote a song for the Martinez beavers and Perryman used it for a soundtrack of a beaver video:

Meanwhile, the blog Technorati has featured Martinez and its negotiations with local developers David and Kirstin Fischer, who are negotiating with the city to purchase the buildings at 630 and 610 Court St. The Fischers want to have a deed restriction built in that specifically prohibit the buildings from becoming bail bond businesses.
