in Martinez will celebrate in the spirit of St. Valentine's Day with a bold new art exhibit curated by Debra Dodson, local art photographer and exhibit coordinator.  For three weeks, the popular downtown frameshop will transform itself into a unique gallery which will present captivating art and photography that celebrates the human figure.  This juried exhibit aims to showcase the beauty of the human form, as portrayed in various styles of artistic exploration, from the avant-garde to the sublime.

Cathy Riggs, proprietor of I've Been Framed says, "These paintings, sculptures and photographs reveal an eclectic and contemporary look at an endless subject of fascination." For fine art aficionados, this exhibit will also include an original painting for sale by famed artist Jeremy Lipking, whose masterful works are beyond the imagination for skill and realism.  This painting will be showcased on opening day, Wednesday, February 8 and during the downtown Main Street Wine Stroll on Saturday, February 11 from 2:00 to 5:30 pm.  Several local artists, including a few who will be showing for their first time, are excited to be exhibiting their new works.
