Martinez Reminds Local Businesses of Sign Ordinance
At its council meeting earlier this month, the Martinez City Council presented a slide show highlighting the city's rules for temporary and commercial signs.
The city of Martinez is reminding local business owners of its sign ordinance with a special community workshop in early October.
The City Council displayed a slideshow of the rules for temporary and commercial signs at its Sept. 4 council meeting.
Recent changes to the ordinance include its enforcement. Historically, the sign ordinance was enforced by the Martinez Public Works Department, but that responsibility recently shifted to the Police Department.

The community workshop will take place Friday, Oct. 4 at 8:30 a.m. in the Council Chambers at City Hall.
