Indoor Sports Complex Coming to Martinez

The 48,000 sq. ft. facility will house softball and baseball fields, batting cages and a drill area. League sign ups start Saturday, and doors open Monday.

A new indoor sports complex will open its doors Monday, giving Martinez residents a chance to hit a home run at home.

The Universal Sports Academy at 330 Ferry Street in Martinez is a 48,000 sq. ft. facility for individuals, teams and leagues to play baseball and softball, and receive instruction. The complex comprises baseball and softball fields, batting cages, a drill area and a pitching area. Field rental is also available for team practice.

Registration for the indoor softball league starts Saturday. There are eight games in the season, plus tournament playoffs. To create or join a team, contact Glen at (925) 383-2055 or email usacoach@live.com.
