Creek Monkey Tap House Opens For Lunch Today

Newest restaurant in town opens its doors officially today at 11 a.m.

Creek Monkey Tap House, which had a "soft launch" last Friday and Saturday with a reservation-only food service, will open for lunch to the general public this week from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. Dinners will be served in the near future.

The restaurant and brew pub, at 611 Escobar St., features more than 30 microbrews on tap, and locally-sourced food.

Among those enjoying the opening Friday was Mayor Rob Schroder, who proclaimed July 8 as Creek Monkey Tap House Day, and Main Street Martinez Director Leanne Peterson and Planning Commissioner Rachel Ford (seen in the video).

I was joking then read it back and it looks like I am not. I am sure it is root beer, which today looks just like beer bottles. But still, what happened at, was it Carrows? With the fruit drink with alcohol in it the kid drank, you still have to be careful and always call a cab or walk. Anyway, glad the Monkey is here, gonna check it out when I get paid.
