When you sign up for a free Martinez Patch user account, you not only get a personal profile to deck out as you wish, but you've also got a variety of options to receive and share information pertinent to the Martinez community. Here's how to use Martinez Patch to its fullest potential.

Send a Letter to the Editor

Express your thoughts or concerns about anything that might be stirring up conversation around town, and we’ll publish it on the website. Email Martinez@Patch.com.

Start a Blog

Our Local Voices section is entirely devoted to passionate people from the community who've got something to share. Click on “Start a Blog” on the homepage, and get writing — just click "submit" when you're done and your post will be ready to roll on to the editor for publication.

Post an Event

Add your event to our calendar at Martinez.patch.com/events/new.

Post an Announcement

Missing pet? Garage sale? Engagement? Our announcements section is a place for community members to share what's happening. Add an announcement, and once you hit "post my announcement" — it's live on the site!

Send a News Tip

At the bottom of the homepage, under "contribute," click "Send Us News Tips." Or, click the "Submit a Tip" button under every story.

Upload Your Photos and Video 

Anywhere on Martinez Patch you see a grey box with a camera symbol that says "Upload Photos and Videos" — click it to add your snaps. You can contribute pictures to any of our stories, share scenes of Martinez in the Neighborhood Gallery, and add photos or videos to announcement and event postings, as well as your blog posts. Please be reminded to adhere to copyright regulations, and never post any pictures that aren't your own.

If your submission has a picture attached, it's much more likely to get featured on our homepage.

Local Business? Claim Your Directory Listing 

If you own or manage a business or organization in our directory, claim it at Martinez.patch.com/listings.

Customer? Review Businesses in Martinez

You can post a review of your favorite (or least favorite) business on any listing at Martinez.patch.com/listings.

The main reason I don't go to any of the businesses downtown is the lack of parking. What littleRead More there is is taken up by the owners of these establishments. God forbid they park somewhere else less convenient so actual paying customers can frequent their businesses.
