The sun is threatening to come out tomorrow for SWAN (Support Women Artists Now) Day, an event that will feature over 50 artists, musicians, dancers and entertainers. It all happens from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. at the old train station at the end of Ferry Street.
“There will be as many if not more artists at this event than there are at Art in the Park,” said Cathy Riggs, president of the Martinez Arts Association. “This is an event where people can shop locally, and find that something special for Mother’s Day. We really hope folks will come down and support this event.”
But the event is not all about shopping. There will be face painting, crafts for kids, and a wide array of entertainment, including belly dancers, musicians, and much more.
Come out on Saturday and show your support for local artists.
