ALBANY JAZZ BIG BAND IN CONCERT

The Mira Theatre Guild hosts the third annual house concert featuring the classic big band sounds of the Albany Jazz Band. The band features talented musicians and singers from the Albany-El Cerrito-Oakland bay area playing a lively repertoire of classics from Goodman to Basie and Ellington of the swing era, to the modern sounds of Monk, Coltrane, Miles Davis, with a solid dose of Latin flavorings, and ballads crafted and finely delivered by wonderful singers. Conductor is Bob Levenson.
