Art in the Park Application Deadline Extended

Artists hoping to show and sell their work at the Aug 19 event now have until July 24 to submit an application for consideration.

From the Martinez Arts Association:

The Art in the Park artist Application due date is now July 24, 2012, for artist vendors to show your wares at the Art in the Park on August 19, 2012. 

Artist vendors can contact Marlene Haws with questions. Also, if you wish to donate directly to the scholarship fund, contact Roger Renn to participate in the Silent Auction.

Art in the Park Artist's Sales are no longer subject to a commission of 10%. If you show and sell your work at Art in the Park on Sunday August 19, 2012, you can keep 100% of your sales*. Please read the Artist Rules, Invitation and complete our Artist Application, disregarding the 10% requirement. Applications can be submitted just prior to the event provided you email me, Marlene Haws, a copy of your application. Mail your booth fee and documentation to: ART IN THE PARK ARTIST APPLICATION PO Box 2304 Martinez, CA 94553 *excluding sales tax. Sunday, August 19 Art in the Park with Live Music TheMartinez Arts Association proudly presents the 43rd annual celebration of Art in the Park with Live music. Local artists and artists from all over the Bay Area and as far away as Oregon will be at this event to show and sell their art. Also for your added enjoyment there will be live music provided by known local musicians. You can listen while visiting the various artists booths or pull up a chair and sit under the shade of a tree. There will be a Beer & Wine Garden along with food booths for your drinking and dining pleasure. Join us downtown at Susana Park, one block from City Hall. The celebration begins at 10:00 AM until 5:00 PM. It is a family event with children's activities and it is free. All proceeds benefit the Art Assoc. Scholarship fund and grant programs.
