Some Things to Know about me as a Candidate

A description of my platform

I believe that Martinez has so many resources, venues, and areas that are being under utilized and that status quo politics in City Hall and on City Committees is not helping the situation. I have listened to the concerns of many of the members of the city; from business owners, to long standing residents of Martinez and I have put together my plan of action to help Martinez by simply asking people in our community: What is wrong and how do you envision a way for the situation to be fixed? My campaign is built on solving your concerns, it is about your issues and what we can do together to find ways to resolve them. I am fighting for you. It is time for some new and fresh ideas to be brought to our City Council and I can do that. Look at my webpage and see my positions, if you like it, click the like button and spread the word about my campaign. If you don't like it, then leave me a message and I will do my best to address the issue. All of your help is appreciated and my thanks goes out to everyone in our great city. Your interest in community affairs is commendable. I wish you luck. What I would like to know is why the Martinez Patch has decided to censor one candidate. Candidate Mike Alford is banned from posting, or commenting on anything on the Patch. This smacks of censorship, and denying one Candidate equal time. And the ability to counter what may or may be said about him. Mr. Carumpus may try and portray himself as the bright shining champion of the Press. I think he's full of s--t. In fact, I not only think he, himself personally, is a HYPOCRITE, I also think the Patch should be ashamed of itself. Censorship in any form stinks. Whether you agree with Mike Alford or not (and he and I frequently disagree) his interest in community affairs in beyond question. He has attended 246 CONSECUTIVE CITY COUNCIL MEETINGS. I challenge ANY other Candidate (who is not incumbent) to match that record. While you might not agree with Mike, if you are a true American, and Martinez citizen, you should to paraphrase Voltaire "may not agree with what he has to say, but be willing to defend to the death his right to say it". I have nothing but sheer and utter contempt for those of you who don't. I call upon the Patch, and Mr. Carumpus to correct this injustice, afford Candidate Alford equal time, level the playing field, and end their censorship!
