○      Accomplishment:  Only 7th Grade girl to attain a Perfect Score on 2nd Quarter Final Assessment in Mathematics.

○      Key to Awesomeness: Her math teacher says: Amanda works through the tough problems, even if she has to spend extra time after class in order to complete them. It is not that the work is easier for Amanda, it is that she is willing to ask questions until she understands, takes the time to be careful with her computations, and double-checks her work if her answers are not making sense. These are the key factors to being successful in mathematics. As you may remember from experience, Algebra and Geometry concepts are not always easy to comprehend the first time around. You have to spend some time processing them, asking for clarification on the pieces that don't make sense, and finally looking at them from different perspectives until you find one that makes sense to you. Amanda does just that.
