Where and How to Join Weight Watchers

The season for fighting the fat has begun. Here are the meeting locations, as well as prices and online options, for Weight Watchers in the area

A new year begins, and so does a new challenge.

Since losing weight tops the list of New Year's resolutions for many Americans, you may notice that your local gym has suddenly become busy in the first few months of 2013.

Dieting also spikes in popularity, and according to US News, Weight Watchers is the number one program for weight loss.

So, if you're planning on stepping on the scales weekly, tallying up the points for every bite and attending support meetings, here's how to get started at Weight Watchers.

How Much Does Weight Watchers Cost?

Price plans change at Weight Watchers, but the promotion at the moment is that the meeting program is free to join and $14 per meeting if you pay-as-you-go. A 17-week pass is available for $209 paid upfront, which works out to $12.29 a week. The best money-saving options is the unlimited monthly pass, which sets up an automatic payment of $42.95 a month, or $9.92 a week, and includes the Weight Watchers "e-tools" — online tracking, recipes and more available on the Weight Watchers website or through the Weight Watchers smartphone app.

Weight Watchers also has an online-only program, and an online program designed specifically for men. The standard plan is $29.95 to sign up and $18.95 a month. The sign-up fee is waived with a three-month plan.

I would highly recommend people looking into CHANGING their diet no going on one. The problem is the assurance like high fructose corn syrup and msg. If you look into it the research additaves are clearly related to weight gain and having a hard time loosing it. Watch 'food matters' 'foods that kill healthy eating' and most of all 'simply raw: curing diabetes in 30 days'. My mother was part of weight watchers for many years and it never worked. 20 years and she is just got the lap band surgery. The first thing is to educate yourself on to what is in our food. If you wand to loose up to 30lbs a month and do it in a healthy way go raw vegan. don't pay to be sold more unhealthy food full of toxic additives.
