Volunteers to Work at Community Garden Saturday

The Center Avenue Community Garden in Pacheco is looking for locals to join in on a few gardening projects.

Spring is blooming all around us, and would-be gardeners are ready to put their green thumbs back into action.

If a day out working with nature sounds like the perfect Saturday to you, April 5 is "work day" at the Center Avenue Community Garden. Volunteers are needed to help with projects, including: composting, transplanting rasberries and tomato plants, planting seeds, spreading wood chips and painting the garden signs.

There is plenty of kale for harvesting too, and even a recipe to try out.
