There She Gushed: Water Main Break

Some residents without water for two hours.

A 14-inch water main ruptured near Jones and Berrellesa streets around 5 a.m. Thursday morning, gushing until crews arrived at 6 a.m. to shut off the flow, city engineer Tim Tucker told CBS

CBS reported that a zone "bordered by Henrietta Street to the north, Castro Street to the east, Haven Street to the south and Richardson Street to the west" was waterless for about two hours.

Patch reader Bernadette McKinnon posted a note that the Mt. View neighborhood was among the areas affected.
