Whether it's a post about a missing dog, a scholarship or the need for volunteers at the library, the announcements section on Martinez Patch is free and open to all. Click on "upload photos & video" to include a picture, which helps ensure your announcement gets maximum visibility. Announce anything from garage sales to engagements and graduations.
Put it on the calendar
The Martinez Patch community calendar is also a free space to share local goings on. Add upcoming events in Martinez and they'll be included in the calendar and published in the Martinez Patch email newsletter. Add your event to the calendar at Martinez.Patch.com/Events/New, and upload a picture too.
Blog about it
The Local Voices section on Martinez Patch is devoted to passionate people from the community who've got something to share — whether its expertise, insight or an opinion. Click on “Start a Blog” on the homepage, and get writing — when you're done, hit "submit" and your post will be ready to roll on to the editor for publication.
Some Changes on Martinez Patch
Starting this week, you'll see some new faces on Martinez Patch. Editor Jim Caroompas is now a Patch Content Manager, and his new duties will include managing stories, photos, videos and other content for East Bay Patch sites. Email him at Jim.Caroompas@Patch.com.
Local Patch editors Lance Howland and Emily Henry will coordinate content, contribute social media and recruit bloggers.
