Otter By The Water - Have You Seen One In The Creek?

Local photographer and videographer Moses Silva took this shot recently of an otter sunning himself on an Alhambra Creek beaver lodge.

Heidi Perryman, director of Worth A Dam, sent us this great shot of an otter sunning itself on a beaver lodge in Alhambra Creek. Heidi explains:

"Videographer of the beavers Moses Silva snapped this photo on New Year afternoon of a youngish otter grooming atop the old beaver lodge. Nicely framed with the memorial to Mother beaver created by Paul Craig and featured installed by Public Works. The otter is there because of the fish. And the fish are there because of the beaver dam. Several folk gathered around to watch this unique display of nature in Alhambra Creek."

Thanks to Heidi for a shot you're not going to find in any other downtown in Contra Costa County. Have you seen any otters in Alhambra Creek? Tell us in the comments.
