Fundraiser Wednesday For Little Girl With Leukemia

Elle Masters needs another year of chemotherapy, and her family needs help with the bills.

Elle Masters was diagnosed with acute lymphoblastic leukemia (ALL) last year. She began chemotherapy in August, and has another year and a half to go.

The 5-year-old's family needs help with expenses during her treatments, and to that end, the Church of Christ is hosting a hot dog fundraiser Wednesday from 5 to 7 p.m. All proceeds will go to her family. The church is at 1865 Arnold Drive.

Those who can't attend but wish to donate should make checks payable to the , 1865 Arnold Dr., Martinez CA 94553, and write Elle Masters in the memo section.

Douglas, that is so sweet of you. this family is so special in our hearts. My 15 year old grandaughter made a basket for her and took it to a baseball practice and got donations for her. Elle came over to my house to get it with a smile on her face and a glow as well. She is a awesome child.

On behalf of the Martinez Church of Christ and the Master family, I would like to thank the Martinez Patch for posting this event. We had a wonderful turnout and there were several families that mentioned to me that this is where they found out about it. Thank you again and may God bless all that attended and were so very generous. Sincerely, Ann Nelson
