Finally, A Drink for Bacon Lovers in Martinez

Martinez residents with a taste for the unusual — or an insatiable desire for bacon — might meet their match in the new soda available at Luigi's Deli.

The Chocolate Covered Maple Smoked Bacon Soda was created by Gardena-based company Real Soda in January of 2013 and proclaims itself to be "breakfast in a bottle."

"This is a complex beverage that enters like a 'cold hot chocolate' seltzer with a slight salty finish with the scent of bacon," explains the company. Real Soda also promises that post-drink belches taste like chocolate-covered bacon.
