The Hudson Valley Women’s Athletic Conference (HVWAC) has named The College of New Rochelle freshman Meagan Yoeono (Martinez, CA/Alhambra HS) the HVWAC Swimming Rookie of the Week, it was announced Tuesday by the conference office.
Yoeono scored in each of her four events at the Blue Angels dual meet vs. Brooklyn College. She kicked off the meet by swimming the second leg for the Blue Angels' victorious 200 yard medley relay team. The rookie also placed second in the 100 yard breaststroke, third in the 200 yard freestyle and swam the third leg for the 200 yard freestyle relay team.
Yoeono is also a member of the Blue Angels Cross Country team, competing as CNR’s #2 runner to complete a strong first collegiate season.
