What's Coming Up This Weekend

A list of things to do around town tonight and this weekend.

I don't know about you, but I'm not sorry to see this particular week go by. Between earthquakes and school threats, and the various rumblings of national and international goings-on, I for on am ready for the weekend. In that spririt, here is an offer of local happenings this weekend. There is surely something in here you'll want to do.

TONIGHT:

- I always recommend catching this remarkable singer/songwriter from Ireland, whose voice is a magic carpet to transport you to places to which you always want to return. And before she's discovered and made a star, you can see her free.

- A great rockabilly band, in one of the best music clubs in the Bay Area, right here at home.

- The Cascade Haunted House is not recommended for kids under 12, but if you want to put a fright into your teenagers, consider this 13-room fright festival. Entrance requires an $8 cover charge and a signed waiver. Their motto: Pay to get in, pray to get out.
