Few businesses undergo changes the way that the former 99-cent-and-up store has in recent months. Owner/operator Luigi Daberdaku  may seem like a pretty simple guy but the former San Francisco restaurateur has many innovative ideas. He moved his deli operations to Main Street Martinez and with it came unusual customer perks. On Fridays, Daberdaku partners with a licensed massage therapist to offer free chair massages while you wait for your lunch along with food samples, live music and hula lessons.  
Fresh Semifreddi’s bread is piled high with your choice of fine meats and condiments. Daberdaku's son Pierin Daberdaku is a Cordon Bleu graduate who designed the sandwich menu and salad offerings.
