Police Log – Arrests Follow Break-In, Gunshots and Harassment

The following information was taken from the April 18-April 20 Daily Police Log, and rewritten by Martinez Patch.

 

Wednesday, April 18, 2012

12: 24 a.m. -- 00:24 Dog barking for several hours at 1321 or 1323 Brown St.; problem has continued over last few nights. Animal control notified.

8:37 a.m. --  A white female, 45 to 60 years old, with light colored, medium length hair came to a resident’s door on Pine Street and asked to take a photo.

11:32 a.m. – Someone entered through a back gate on Fountainhead Court and tried to enter a sliding door. The resident was home and the intruder left. 459 COLD 120418033

1:32 p.m. – A garage door opener was taken from a locked vehicle on Marie Avenue.

3:20 p.m. -- A male was inappropriately touching a mentally disabled female in the area of Escobar and Castro streets.

4:09 p.m. – A burglary was reported on Chase Street when  back windows were broken and many items were discovered to be missing.

4:20 p.m.-- Noise from vents have been extremely loud over two days’ time on Pacheco Boulevard.

5:02 p.m. -- Terrorist threats were reported at the Boys and Girls Club on Alhambra Avenue when a foster son was threatened by a schoolmate who said he would bring a gun to school and shoot the victim.

5:23 p.m. – A student and parent at Alhambra High School on E Street reported that another student demanded money to refrain from posting a photo online. Suspicious Circumstances 120418063

5:31 p.m. -- A resident reported that a black male adult wearing a striped shirt and black pants was going from door to door at Stoneybrook and Village Oaks drives.

5:55 p.m. – A man with a history of violence and who carries a pocket knife is believed to be waiting for the caller at her residence on Fig Tree Lane. The man is associated with a green truck. He was previously served with a restraining order.

6:34 p.m. – Three males and one female were quarreling and one man was seen lying on the ground near a Dumpster on Shell Avenue.

6:43 p.m. – A wallet was reported stolen at Bait and Tackle on Tarantino Drive.

11:28 p.m. --  A man said his wife threatened him with a knife and locked him out while two children were inside the home on Lassen Drive.

5:12 a.m. – A burglary was reported on Brookside Drive after a man and woman entered the garage of a home on Brookside Drive. The male resident chased them away, but they took several small items. Police arrested Amanda Guard, 22, and William Zeeb, 23.

8:57 a.m. – Petty theft was reported on Corte Tercera after someone rifled through an unlocked car.

9:20 a.m. -- Petty theft was reported at a Walmart store on Arnold Drive when a shopper set her purse down and it was taken.

10:06 a.m. – A bag of jewelry was found at Vicente Martinez High School on F Street.

10:13 a.m. – A white female with brown hair brandished a rifle on Alhambra Lane.

12:12 p.m. – An assault was reported at Wendy’s on Alhambra Avenue.  

1:29 p.m. – An officer found a car cover in a gold bag at Malo Court and Toulouse Way.

3:17 p.m. -- A white female in a dark purple jacket and jeans with a leg brace and crutches was lying on the ground next to a market on Alhambra Avenue.  

4:31 p.m. – Petty theft was reported when an iPhone and cash was taken from an unlocked vehicle on Gilbert Court.

4: 41 p.m. – A woman was reported panhandling in the sun with a a 2-year-old child at a Lucky store on Arnold Drive. 16:41 Solicitor 120419047

6:18 p.m. -- Shots were reportedly discharged from a small-caliber firearm for some 20 to 30 minutes believed to be coming from Vine Hill Way.

6:38 p.m. – A brush fire was reported at Franklin Canyon Road and Alhambra Avenue.

8:52 p.m. – Popping sounds believed to be rapid gunfire was reported on Carquinez Scenic Drive. A second caller heard six shots from the Bisio Yard area. Police arrested Charles Wolfson, 55, Kelsie Louise Riley, 20, and Vickie Sue Lingle, 44.

10:20 p.m. -- Grand theft reported on Tahoe Court.

10:37 p.m. – A hit and run was reported on Glacier Drive. 

Friday, April 20, 2012

12:34 a.m. -- Two men were reportedly harassing customers in a bar and refused to leave, then stopped in front of the caller’s car to block exit. Police arrested Michael M. Bailey.

8:08 a.m. -- Golf clubs found at the Lotus Apartments on Alhambra Avenue, believed possibly stolen property.

9:12 a.m. -- A white male wearing a white T-shirt and black pants and a black hat with red print on the front tried to come onto the campus at Vicente Martinez High School on F Street and behaved aggressively toward the campus supervisor.

11:28 a.m. -- Fraud reported when taxes were filed with H&R Block on Silverwood Drive in someone else’s name. Unauth use of pers. identity info. 120420026

11:40 a.m. – A white male with a buzz cut, tattoos on his neck, wearing a plaid shirt and jeans came to a resident’s door on Reliez Valley Road and asked whether she was Catholic. When questioned, he said he had to go to his vehicle and get his book, but never returned. Suspicious Circumstances 120420030

1:48 p.m. – Two women became involved in an altercation at Alhambra Donuts and Deli on Alhambra Avenue. One of the women, driving an old model beige Toyota Camry threatened to kill the other for cutting her off.

2:08 p.m. – Fraud reported when stolen checks were used on Howe Road.

2:12 p.m. – Sale of stolen property, false impersonation and identity theft reported at Henrietta Street. Police arrested Brandy Stewart, 39. She was booked into Napa City Jail.

2:40 p.m. – A counterfeit $100 bill was used at B.P. Nail on Main Street. Suspect left a cell phone at the scene.

3:53 p.m. – A telephone salesman told a resident on Snow Drive he would “see (her) tomorrow” at her address after she said she was not interested. Advice to Citizen 120420053

5:50 p.m. – A motorist reported a Union Pacific train blocked traffic for 45 minutes at Berrellesa Street at Embarcadero.

6:43 p.m. – A Hispanic man wearing a white T-shirt and jeans and a Hispanic woman in a tank top were seen sitting on a curb with a sign asking for money with a 2-year-old child.

10:25 p.m. -- Individuals reported to be openly selling drugs on the corner of Muir and Orleans.
